I started out with freestyling abstract shapes, but ended up with some sort of neo techno camouflage.. I would have made a entire abstract layout on the figure, but when i came out as more like camouflage i though of it more like clothing, then I added a face of a little girl, japanese or eskimo?
Later on this figure got the name urban eskimo, the story of a eskimo traveling to New york, and she gets totally into the underground scene, but after a couple of years later she travels back because.. more to come :)
So after test painting the the fist Cuboe character that turned out pretty well, I went on with the same process and gave a couple of more figures primer, but this time it was a different brand of primer, and gray instead white.. Because the white primer wouldn't cover so well, and this primer covered very well, nice eh!?
On this figure I used the primer color as the main color and painted on top of that, this Cuboe ended up as some sort of blend between wolf character an bear, so maybe he should be called BearWolf, Bjulf in danish..
The magnet were put in before the figure was painted, just to test if it could work out to paint around of them.

After casting the figures we had some to work out covering some holes.. or a lot of holes in fact, the reason the small holes is because of air getting stuck in the mould while casting. We used Milliput to cover the holes up, then wait for the next day so it could harden and afterwards sand papering to get a smooth finish.

This i is a sketch sheet with the Cuboe character, It's mend to be used as a children's coloring book or just used for layout ideas on the figure.
In my school i have to give the characters abilities, so it's possible to write down some notes on the right side of the paper, there is also room for implying the color scheme of the figure in the left lower side.
The Cube figure
A cube shaped form, that can transform into a human like figure.
Nil's made these graphics and the mog-up made in carton.
When visiting Nils in Copenhagen a while back i saw the mog-up of the figure, and instantly asked him if he could be interested in me doing my school bachelor project around his figure.
So, I've decided to make a small blog about me and my friends work. right now I'm doing a design bachelor project, where I'm working with Nils dissing overgaard, Nils is an industrial designer working freelance, and he shares the same passion for plastic toys as i do..
This blog is mostly for just keeping track of the process of or work, and uploading pictures.
the new pictures are taken from the past couple of months. sadly the blog should have bin made when the project started but that not the case..
Nils will also be blogging here soon ^o^ hopefully..
Hope you enjoy or work, fell free to leave any feedback
Thor Leon
